Did you know that your thyroid health is so important for your child’s normal growth and development while in the womb?1 When an expectant mother has hypothyroidism, she is unable to produce sufficient quantities of thyroid hormones causing her child’s brain development to be affected as well.2 This may lead to lower IQ than that of healthy children, impaired psychomotor development as well as learning difficulties.3
